Book. Just as I was going to choose a quotation to
read, I suddenly found that all the students were
fixing their eyes on the blackboard behind me. I
turned around and saw three big eye-catching
Chinese characters on the blackboard: Da Guang
Gun (A Big Bachelor)! While I was reading the three
characters, the students burst into loud laughter. I
blushed to the root of my hair. I stood stock-still, my
face now red. I really wanted to find a hole to crawl
into.
But then I realized that it was a challenge. I had
to meet it bravely. If I didn’t suppress their swollen
arrogance, I wouldn’t be able to maintain my prestige
as a teacher. On the other hand, as a teacher, I
couldn’t bear the insult when I made my first
appearance. I put on a stern expression and shouted,
“Who? Who wrote that?”
