“Don’t get excited. We have done enough silly
things. We should keep our heads cool.”
“But can you at least put me up here for tonight?
It’s getting dark and I have no place to stay.”
“I can’t put you up here for tonight,” she said
resolutely.
“Where do you expect me to stay?”
“You can catch the 7pm train and return to
school. You have enough time to get that train.”
“You are not willing to forgive me, are you?”
“I told you already that I need time to think
about it. The train will come soon. You have no time
