“No! We can’t! He is insulting our greatest

leader!” the students responded quickly and stood up

to condemn and question me together. “Say, why did

you throw Chairman Mao’s book to the ground?” the

voice was deafening.

I was dumbstruck. I looked at the students in

panic. They swarmed towards me and caught me, as
