Yu Jihui: “A Stinking Old Ninth – A Tale of the Coal Capital” (updated on July 2020)

I didn’t understand what she meant. She then

asked me many questions about my romantic story in

my alma mater. I answered her questions one after

another. She nodded repeatedly to show her interest.

At about 9pm, we went to the train station to catch

               the train.

On Wednesday evening, she came on time. She

said she had no book. She had gone to the book store,

but the book that I had showed her was not available.

I said the book I had was my text-book. It was

written by an expert and was regarded as a book of

feudalism, capitalism and revisionism. It was, of

course, not available at moment. I lent my book to

her. I said she could use it for as long as she needed.

It was too easy for me and I didn’t need it. She was

               very happy.

That night, I taught her from the very beginning.

I taught her pronunciation. She learned it all,
