               was badly in need  of university graduates,  the


               government                required            those          graduates             from



               universities who had been assigned to the border area


               to settle down and  live there long term. So, it was



               very difficult for her husband to be transferred to the


               coal  capital,  Fushun,  to reunite them. The task for



               their reunion fell on Black Peony’s shoulder. She had


               filed an application to the leaders of our school and



               asked to be transferred to the border area to reunite



               with her family. The revolutionary committee of our


               school agreed to discuss her application and said they


               would soon give her a reply. So she was happy and



               excited.



                       Black Peony openly  proclaimed that she was


               fond of me as a brother. She totally took the cudgel
