               undressed  herself and  got into her  quilt. After she



               turned off the light, I couldn’t  control myself any


               more. I got  ready  to  slip  into her  quilt. When I



               opened her quilt, ready to move in, she pushed me


               out and said angrily, “It’s a shame that I married you.



               Get out! Don’t touch me!”


                       With  that, she turned  her  head to one side  and



               gave me her back. I was being ignored. I had to stay



               in  the  quilt and pretended to sleep. Perhaps I was


               actually  very sleepy because soon I  passed into


               oblivion. By midnight  I was woken  up  by a fit of



               sobbing. I sat up to find that Big Wang was weeping



               sadly. I knew she was weeping for her  unfortunate


               fate. She never thought that she, as a basketball star



               who had been wooed by dozens of young men, had


               to marry a political fool. She regretted marrying me.



               My self-respect was hurt badly. I decided to divorce
