Her eyes lit up and smiled. She murmured, “The
guy has got a foreign name! He does look like a
foreigner!”
I stood face to face with her and found that she
was indeed very short and came only up to my
shoulder. Elephant told me she was in her late
twenties. I took a look at her but couldn’t figure out
how old she was. Her appearance seemed all right.
After introducing us, Elephant said, “I have finished
my task as a matchmaker. Now you talk amongst
yourselves.” Then she went away, but turned around
after she had walked a few steps and gave us a smile
that said ‘Have a good talk!’
After Elephant had gone, we began to walk
along the small path in the park. It was an autumn
night. The park was very quiet. Nothing could be
heard except the rustling of the leaves. A round
moon was sailing in the sky. A gentle breeze
