               one she most liked to be her true lover. But up till


               now she had not chosen one yet. She probably



               thought I would be overjoyed to have read her letter


               and would have been happy to give her one of my



               pictures. I  ignored  her.  Two weeks later, she sent


               another letter.



                       In it she said, “Soapy, why haven’t you given me


               a picture of yours? I’m expecting it. The other day a



               strange thing happened. I would like to share it with



               you. You know that my birth village is not far from


               our city. I often go there to see my  mother. A few


               days ago,  I took a bus there again. My mother has



               been worrying about getting me  married. She said



               that I was  old enough and  I should get  married as


               soon as possible. She asked me to go to the temple to



               visit the monk so as to have a fortune-telling. Very


               close to my village there is a high mountain and, at



               the top of it, there is a temple. In the temple, there is
