Squint had repeatedly proclaimed that he would beat

me black and blue, but in the end, he was not able to

realize his ambition. On the contrary, he was beaten

black and blue himself. He felt too ashamed to stay

in our school any more, and so he asked the school

authority to transfer him to a primary school near his

village. Our school authority approved his request.

No one knew when he left our dormitory. Since he

went away, I had never seen him again.

Generally speaking, White Washers would come

out from Stinking Old Ninths. Squint was not a

Stinking Old Ninth. He had a wife. Why did he

become a White Washer when he had a wife? She

was thirty kilometers away from him. He could only

see her over the weekends. He could only hug her on

the weekends. But on weekdays, he had no woman to

hug. He was very strong. He couldn’t do without a

woman for a day.
