but I remained there. He got very angry and pulled
me so hard that he tore my collar. I flew into a rage
and fought with him. He was stronger than I, but I
was quicker. He was not able to control me. A
number of people rose together to help. They cuffed
and kicked me. I held my head tightly but still was
beaten black and blue. At this point Dwarf stopped
them, shouting, “No force! No force!”
They stopped beating me. I stood there, lowering
my head.
I knew the cross-eyed teacher. He often insulted
me. I mentioned him at beginning of the book. I
nicknamed him as Squint. Squint used to be a worker
who dug coal in the coal pit, so he was very familiar
with the worker masters in our school, including
Dwarf. Dwarf revealed my romantic story in my file
to him so he could insult me publicly.
