Yu Jihui: “A Stinking Old Ninth – A Tale of the Coal Capital” (updated on July 2020)

Black Peony reminded him that he recorded

everything she said on a piece of paper and asked her

to sign. He should know that. It should be taken as a

confession book. Dwarf seemed to wake up. He said

he didn’t forget it. He would use it as an excuse to

persuade the other members in the authority to

approve her to be transferred to her husband’s school.

He would say to the other members that since she

was separated from her husband for so long, she

couldn’t bear the loneliness and had done something

improper with Soapy. With that excuse, he was sure

to persuade the other members of authority to agree

to approve her application to reunite her husband. On

the other hand, he stressed that he had not brought it

               with him.

She knew Dwarf very well. He was a cunning

and sly and devious yellow dog. If the piece of paper

with the words she confessed was kept in his hand,
